Malang – On 23 June until 10 July 2019, the Provincial Governor of East Java had successfully held the first student mobility program in collaboration with Western Australia Provincial Governor under the umbrella of Western Australia – East Java Universities Consortium (WAEJUC). This program aims to facilitate a better understanding between youth in Western Australia and East Java to face global challenges and to provide a platform for friendship between youth from both provinces.
This Mobility Program involved 10 Universities from East Java (UNAIR, ITS, UNESA, UPNVJT, UB, UM, UINMMI, UNEJ, UTM) in collaboration with 5 Universities from Western Australia (Curtin University, West Australia University, Murdoch University, Edith Cowan University, Notre Dame University). As the coordinator of EJx 2019, Institute Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS) Surabaya welcome 21 participants from partner universities on 23 June 2019 and start the program with a brief description of the program.
In 17 days of the program, all the participant learn a lot about the issues which become the strength of each universities partner and deepen the understanding of some knowledge among East Java. Not only learning about the issues in East Java, but the participants also explored the beauty of East Java by visiting Gili Labak, Gili Genting, Mount Bromo, and Papuma Beach.
At the end of the program, all the participants present a poster exhibition and also a presentation on the topic they have learned during the program. Finally, the program officially closed on 10 July 2019 at the East Java Provincial Governor Office, Surabaya, attended by all the representatives of Universities Partners.
