In order to promote the mutual understanding, cooperation and exchanges in various fields between China and other countries, the Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship programs to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to study and conduct research in various universities in China.

This scholarship covers tuition fee, living cost, and dormitory. Selected studenta only pay for the visa and departure ticket. The amounts of living cost are based on the degree program as follows:

  • Bachelor: RMB 2,500
  • Master: RMB 3,000
  • Doctoral: RMB 3,500

Full and partial scholarship programs based on the agreement between Chinese Government and the governments of other countries, institutions, universities or international organizations.

  • AUN Program

– Full scholarship for ASEAN University Network (AUN) which only supports graduates student and teachers.

– The specific requirement of this program is must be  a citizen of an ASEAN member country (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), and be in good health.

  • Chinese University Program

-Full scholarship programs for designated universities certain provincial education offices in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China.

  • Full scholarship for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to sponsor students and scholars in developing countries to study and research in China. It only supports general scholars and senior scholars.

  • Scholarship for WMO (World Meteorological Organization) to sponsor international student to study and conduct research in meteorology, hydrology, and water resources supervision and management in China

  4. Great Wall Program: 20 April 2021
