GXNU’s Enrollment Notice to ASEAN Students for Guangxi Government Scholarship (2018)
 
This is a full scholarship to sponsor students from ASEAN member nations to study in Guangxi, P.R. China, for their bachelor’s or master’s degree programs. The Scholarship supports the bachelor’s or master’s programs offered by GXNU except English, Japanese and Korean language and culture.
 
Scholarship Coverage and Criteria:
a. CNY 1,000 for Bachelor’s Degree Students
b. CNY 1,500 for Master’s Degree Students
 
Applicants Criteria:
1. Must be a citizen of an ASEAN country and be in good health
2. Must abide by the Chinese laws, regulations and rules of the universities
3. Must be excellent both in moral character and in study
4. Should not be awardees of other Chinese government scholarships at the same time.
 
Required Documents:
Applicants must submit their documents according to the following instructions (all in triplicate and in order):
1. Guangxi Government Full Scholarship Application Form for ASEAN Students: fill in the form in Chinese or English;
2. Photocopy of passport photo page;
3. Authenticated Certificate of highest education and the grade report or the academic record. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
4. A Study Plan or Research Proposal in Chinese or English. (A minimum of 200 words)
5. Recommendation letters (Chinese or English) by two professors or associate professors (official letterhead, include professors’ contact information), for Master’s degree applicants only;
6. Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant). The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.

GXNU’s Enrollment Notice for Chinese Government Scholarships (2018)

This scholarship is full scholarship to sponsor students to study in Guangxi Normal University, P.R. China, for their master's degree (two years) or PhD degree programs (three years).

The Scholarship supports both the master’s and the doctoral programs offered by GXNU except Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, English, Japanese and Korean language and culture.

Scholarship Coverage and Criteria
1. Exempt from tuition, accommodation fees on campus;
2. Monthly living allowances (CNY Yuan per month):
a. CNY 3,500 for doctoral Degree Students.
b. CNY 3,000 for Master’s Degree Students.
3. Comprehensive insurance (CNY Yuan):
800 CNY Yuan per year, 400 CNY Yuan per semester.

Applicants Eligibility Criteria
1. Must be a citizen of a country over 6 years other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health; not be a registered student in Chinese universities at the time of application;
2. Must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs; be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;
3. Requirements for Chinese: applicants of Chinese Master's Degree should pass the HSK (level 5), applicants of non-Chinese Master's Degree should pass the HSK (level 4), and applicants of doctorial Degree should pass the HSK (level 6).

NOTE:
Scholarship recipients without adequate Chinese proficiency can take Chinese language courses for one or two academic years (at most two years, with scholarship). Recipients must take HSK test after courses and reach the language requirements before moving on to major studies. Failure to reach the required language proficiency will lead to the automatic termination of scholarship.

1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (in Chinese or English). Applicants shall log onto the Scholarship website http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua/noticeen.html, fill in the form and submit it online, prepare 1 printed original and 2 copies of the form. GXNU’s admission code: 10602, Program Category is Type B
2. Photocopy of passport photo page;
3. Notarized highest diploma: official certification of student status or employment certification. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
4. A Study Plan or Research Proposal in Chinese or English. (A minimum of 800 words)
5. Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. Application Information for Confucius Institute Scholarship 2018 of Guangxi Normal University


This scholarship aims to cultivate qualified Chinese language teachers and facilitate the promotion of Chinese language and culture that the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) launches “Confucius Institute Scholarship” (CIS).

Supporting outstanding students, scholars and currently employed Chinese language teachers, Confucius Institutes independently operated Confucius Classrooms as well as some HSK test centers to study in Chinese universities and colleges (hereinafter referred to as “host institutions”).

ELIGIBILITY
All applicants shall be:
a.    Non-Chinese citizens
b.    In good Physical and mental condition, well performed both academically and behaviorally
c.    Aspired to take future careers on the teaching or international promotion of Chinese language.
d.    Between the ages of 16-35 on September 1st, 2018. Applicants currently worked as Chinese language teachers shall not exceed the age limit of 45, while undergraduate students shall not exceed the age limit of 25.

MEVLANA EXCHANGE PROGRAMME 2018/2019

Background

Mevlana Exchange Programme is a mobility programme (inbound and outbound) funded by the Turkish Government for students and academic staff of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) which have signed the Mevlana Protocol. In 2015, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) signed a Mevlana Protocol with Akdeniz University, Turkey. Following the signing, UM has successfully commenced to the programme after the three students from the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering were selected to pursue the programme at Akdeniz University. In 2017, UM received an invitation to collaborate in the same programme by another HEI in Turkey, Çankiri Karatekin University; hence, a Mevlana Protocol with the university.

In regard to the two Mevlana Exchange Programme protocol at Akdeniz University and Çankiri Karatekin University, we are delighted to announce that students and academic staff (lecturers) at UM are eligible to apply for the Mevlana Exchange Programme in both universities. For the student mobility, the scholarship is available for those who are pursuing Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or PhD Degree at UM.

MEVLANA EXCHANGE PROGRAMME FOR INCOMING STUDENTS 2018/2019

Mevlana Exchange Programme is offered for students of Universitas Negeri Malang at Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or PhD Degree. The students will receive 1000 TL per month as a grant. Eighty percent (80%) of the total scholarship will be given to each student at the beginning of their study. The rest of the grant’s payment will be determined from the ratio of total credits by comparing between courses successfully completed by the student to the number of obligatory courses taken by the student. A. General Requirements

  1. Must be eligible to study at Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or PhD Degree.

  2. The minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) for Undergraduate Students is 2.54/4.00.

  3. The minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) for Graduate Students (MA, PhD) is 3.00/4.00.

B. Special Requirements

Students attending preparation classes or scientific preparation programmes at graduate level are not eligible to participate in this programme during their first semester.

MEVLANA EXCHANGE PROGRAMME FOR ACADEMIC STAFF 2018/2019

  3. Academic Portfolio (the documents report relevant to the chosen field of the study, projects participated in, projects carried out, planned projects and projects for courses given or planned).

Application Requirements

  1. All of the Academic Staff of Universitas Negeri Malang are eligible to apply to this programme and take part in academic staff mobility projects. They will have education-training activities and will be transferred to Akdeniz University or Çankiri University Turkey.

  2. The mobility period is two weeks and can apply to one institution only: Akdeniz University or Çankiri University, Turkey.

  3. The academic activities planned should not be less than 6 hours per week. If they do not meet the total of hours (6 hours per week) of courses, they are obligated to join other academic activities (seminars, panels or conferences) as the consequences. One of the academic activities they plan should be lecturing. If there is no lecturing in their academic plan, they will not receive the Mevlana scholarship and will not be accepted.

  4. The programme will be in the period of September 1, 2018 until August 31, 2019.

1. Bagaimana alur pendaftaran Program Beasiswa Mevlana?
a. Menerjemahkan KHS Bahasa Indonesia kalian ke dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan mengacu pada standar terjemahan matakuliah Bahasa Inggris yang tersedia di folder setiap fakultas di link.
b. Masukkan terjemahan matakuliah tersebut ke dalam template yang sudah disediakan “Transcript Template”
c. Print out hasil terjemahan pada template masing-masing dan mintakan tanda tangan/legalisir ke BAKPIK.
*untuk S2 maupun S3 ELT (English Language and Teaching) tidak perlu menerjemahkan KHS dan bisa langsung menggunakan KHS tersebut sebagai dokumen persyaratan karena nama matakuliah sudah dalam Bahasa Inggris.
