Inaya Rakhmani is the director of the Asia Research Centre, Universitas Indonesia and coordinator for the Indonesian Young Academy of Sciences. Her research interest is in the cultural political economy of religion, media, and knowledge. She is the author of “Mainstreaming Islam in Indonesia” published by Palgrave MacMillan (2016). Her work has been published by the Journal of Contemporary Asia, the Journal of Current Southeast Asian Affairs, and others. She is concerned with the role of culture in concentrating and redistributing access and wealth to as many people as possible.
