A meeting attended by representatives from both INTACT and UM on May 12, 2026, was held at the 3rd Floor Meeting Room, Graha Rektorat, Universitas Negeri Malang. This meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between the two parties as part of an effort to expand academic engagement on the international stage by sending UM students to study and gain experience at overseas universities. INTACT is a Taiwan-based company that currently has three branches in Indonesia, serves as a representative office for cooperation between Taiwan and Indonesia, aiming to provide students, alumni, and lecturers with information regarding educational opportunities in Taiwan.
With a warm welcome extended by the Director of the Office of International Affairs, accompanied by the Deans and Associate Deans. The meeting continued with a presentation delivered by Mr. Andre So, Director of INTACT Surabaya, regarding international collaboration opportunities and the development of prospective double degree programs. This meeting marked the first step toward establishing a double degree program that can enhance academic and professional potential abroad for UM students.
Both parties engaged in positive discussions and demonstrated high enthusiasm in supporting the development of academic aspects and potential in Indonesia. This meeting is expected to be a significant first step in realizing sustainable cooperation between INTACT and UM, particularly in the development of double degree programs, student exchanges, and other international study opportunities that can enhance the global competencies of Universitas Negeri Malang students.
