A campus tour is needed to explore about the university. UM iCamp introduced Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) through campus tour. There were 56 participants from 40 countries were joining the campus tour on 16 August 2019 at 13.00-16.30 pm. The participants were bringing their national flag while having the campus tour. They were guided to explore UM faculty by faculty. Student Executive Board (BEM) of each faculty explained what is inside their faculty.
To explore UM, they have to follow the map given by the committee. The campus tour were started from Universitas Negeri Malang Museum, a unit in UM keeping historical things of UM. The participants were directed to enter the museum and get explained about all the historical things of UM (e.g. jackets, rectors, stamps, books, certificates, studio, collaboration, and any other historical things and events). There were also videos telling about the history of UM.
After visiting Universitas Negeri Malang Museum, all the participants were directed to go to the Faculty of Psychology (FPPsi.). They were gathered in the Pendopo Psikologi Positif. They got information about the faculty and their jargon. Next, they went to the Faculty of Social Science (FIS). They enter the faculty in orderly to have a tour in the faculty. Then, they continued to visit the Faculty of Education (FIP). The participants were excitedly welcomed by the BEM of FIP. They were asked to follow the faculty’s jargon. Near from FIP, they continued their visit to the Faculty of Letters (FS). The BEM of FS explaining about the faculty and the arms symbol of FS. The participants were trying to follow making the arms symbol.
Next, visiting the Faculty of Engineering (FT) was warmly welcomed by some shows. There were how to make mocktails, a juggling, a fire-fighter robotics show. Next, Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences (FMIPA), followed by Faculty of Sports Science (FIK). There was a martial art performance by the FIK. Finished exploring Universitas Negeri Malang, the participants were invited to go to the symbolic UM park in the university to release balloons (red and white balloons). Each participant bring one balloon to be released. Before releasing the balloons, one of the LOs guided everybody to yell the jargon of UM iCamp: “UM iCamp, Indonesia!”
