International Inbound Research Mobility (IIRM)

Introduction

Funded by the EQUITY endowment fund 2024, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) is currently accepting applications for incoming international researchers. The program is hybrid (70% offsite and 30% onsite) and expected to start from March and ends in June 2024. This program offers firsthand internationally collaborative research and expected to create more reputable publication. Total grant is Rp. 14.000.000 and the application is now open for non-Indonesian master or doctoral degree students!

Citizenship

A non-Indonesian citizen

Degree

Active master or PhD student in their thesis writing years

Age

No more than 35 years for master students / 40 years for PhD students

Research Plan

Having a research plan that will be conducted while at UM

Responsibilities and Expected Output

Selected candidates are expected to have 1 (one) publication draft ready for submission to an internationally indexed journal by the end of the program

The grant can be utilised for covering

  1. Air Fare Ticket (Round-Trip)
  2. Living Allowance
  3. Fee waiver for immigration charges and health insurance
  4. A shared-room accommodation at an on-campus international student apartment

  1. Latest CV including personal details, academic background, and a list of related publications
  2. Recent photograph
  3. Scanned passport
  4. Letter of recommendation from academic referees
  5. Research and publication proposal to be accomplished during the term with the following criteria:
    • be not more than 5 pages
    • be related to an area of research interest of UM associate professors or professors
    • must have never been submitted for any publication
