Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) invites students to participate in the international mobility program at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). This program allows students to spend one or two semesters at UUM, choosing from a wide range of courses offered by 15 diverse academic schools.
Through this program, students are expected to gain invaluable global experience and academic enrichment within UUM’s vibrant campus life.
Requirements & Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, applicants must:
- Be an active student nominated by Universitas Negeri Malang.
- Have completed at least two academic semesters at UM.
- Maintain a good academic and co-curriculum record.
- Possess English proficiency approved and recommended by UM.
- Agree to abide by all rules and regulations of UUM.
- Be responsible for all costs incurred during the program.

How to Apply

- Prepare Supporting Documents:
- Copy of academic transcripts (with certified English translation).
- Nomination Letter from the OIA Universitas Negeri Malang.
- Passport-size photo (4.5 cm x 5.0 cm).
- Copy of passport information page or Student ID Card.
- Submission: Submit your completed application and documents to the UM Office of International Affairs (OIA).
- Nomination: OIA UM will officially nominate selected students to UUM via [email protected].
FEE STRUCTURE FOR ONE-SEMESTER MOBILITY PROGRAMME
- Fees Payable to UUM
Registration Fee: MYR350.00
Mobility Fee: MYR2,010.00*
[IMPORTANT] Mobility Fee Waiver: Based on the active partnership agreement between our institutions, the Mobility Fee (MYR 2,010.00) will be fully waived (FREE) for up to three (3) students from Universitas Negeri Malang per semester.
Accommodation Fee (varies according to choice):
o Residential Hall / Inapan Siswa (INASIS): MYR720.00 per semester per student
o University Inn: MYR1,200.00 per month per unit
o EDC-UUM Hotel: MYR2,500.00 per month per unit
o Medical Check-up Fee: MYR200.00
o Personal Bond Stamp Duty Fee: MYR10.00
o Student Pass Processing Fee: MYR50.00 - Fees Payable to Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS)
e-VISA Approval Letter (e-VAL) Application: MYR800.00++*
*Amount varies depending on the insurance coverage selected by the student. - Fees Payable to the Immigration Department of Malaysia
