The Chinese Language and Culture courses, organized by Pusat Bahasa Mandarin Universitas Negeri Malang (PBM UM) in collaboration with OIA UM, are available to all UM students (excluding Chinese language majors), lecturers, and staff. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the courses will be held online through Zoom and WhatsApp groups. Every year, this class gets high enthusiasm from the UM academic community. Beginner and improvement levels are available for a Chinese language class. Seize the opportunity to learn and connect with native Chinese speakers!
CHINESE LANGUAGE CLASS
Language Class (Beginner Class)
This class is designed for students with little or no Mandarin proficiency. This class will teach you the basics of Mandarin.
Improve Language Class (Improvement Class)
This class is for students who have previously taken Mandarin classes and have mastered the basics of Mandarin. This session aims to further present Mandarin to the following areas of the language: grammar, practical activities, Chinese character structures, and everyday Chinese conversations.

Chinese food has a long history, unique cooking methods and a wide range of varieties. There are not only eight major cuisines, but also various local snacks.
