TESTIMONY: Boburjon Samigov (KNB Awardee 2014/2015)

I am Boburjon Samigov. I was born in 1990 in Uzbekistan. I finished my bachelor degree in 2012 at Tashkent State Institut of Oriental Studies, majoring Philology with the sponsor of Uzbekistan Government. In 2014, I was awarded Kemitraan Negara Berkembang Scholarship from Indonesian Government, to continue my master degree in Universitas Negeri Malang, majoring Education Management, and is graduated in 2016. Currently I apply for Pre-Doctoral in Japan.

KNB program, which I joined, is a master degree scholarship with 3 years length of study. This program is divided into 2 periods, which includes 1 semester in Pusat Balai Bahasa, Faculty of Letters Universitas Negeri Malang, and 4 or 5 semesters in Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Malang. Based on this study plan I chose Education Management major.
My first reason of choosing that program is that in Uzbekistan, the major is new and has evident vision. I am interested to enhance my knowledge in education quality development, the curriculum reformation in every school stage and its implementation in the local and international level. In addition, in accordance to my bachelor study, there are limited number of experts in Indonesian Philology in Uzbekistan. As a lecturer in this discipline, the program is very interesting and this program is very interesting and important because of high demands of experts in this field of study.
During my master study, I had difficulty in fully comprehending the course presentation because the course in new (to my self) and main instruction is in Indonesian. Besides my classmates are all Indonesian.
However, with the support of the Head of Department, Indonesian Language Instructor and Cooperation Department Universitas Negeri Malang, my knowledge and skill are continuously improved. In the end of this study, I presented my research in the thesis viva voce in front of 4 examiners. The viva results on my graduation.
With the passion that I have, I succesfully finished my master study in 3 semesters and will be graduated on July 2016.
In addition to academic improment, personally, I also succesfully improve my personality by the stimulus of Indonesia education and culture.
