Endowed by a grant of 2022 World Class University (WCU) funding, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Indonesia, is currently accepting applications for incoming international research students for the term of September 2022 – January 2023. This program is aimed at offering opportunities for international students to experience first-hand international collaborative research and publication with UM’s reputable academics in various fields. International students can work with UM academics towards their thesis writing or laboratory works. Please read the terms and conditions below:
Application for UM IRSS is open for those who:
1. is a non-Indonesian citizen
2. is an active master or PhD student in their thesis writing years
3. is no more than 35 years for Master Students, or 40 years for PhD Students
4. Have a research plan to be conducted while at UM
Responsibilities and expected output:
Selected candidates are expected to have 1 (one) publication draft ready for submission to an internationally indexed journal by the end of the program
Manfaat:
1. Living allowance IDR 2,700,000/month
2. Fee waiver for immigration charges and health insurance
3. A shared-room accommodation at on-campus international student apartment
Required documents:
1. Latest CV including personal details, academic background, and a list of related publications
2. Recent photograph
3. Scanned passport
4. Letter of recommendation from academic referees
5. Research and publication proposal to be accomplished during the term with the following criteria:
– be not more than 5 pages
– be related to an area of research interest of UM associate professors or professors
– must have never been submitted for any publication

Results of the selection will be released through email on September 5, 2022.
