Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding international partnerships through collaboration with Ming Chi University of Technology. One of the concrete implementations of this partnership was the organization of an information session on the 3+2 Fast Track Program, held by the Office of International Affairs (OIA) UM on March 31, 2026, at the A20 Building, Seminar Room, 2nd Floor.
The session aimed to provide comprehensive insights for UM students regarding international study opportunities through the 3+2 scheme. This accelerated program enables students to complete their undergraduate studies at Universitas Negeri Malang and continue their master’s degree at MCUT within a total duration of five years. The program is widely recognized as a strategic pathway to earn dual degrees while gaining international academic experience.

During the session, participants received detailed information on application procedures, academic requirements, learning systems, and career prospects after graduation. The 3+2 Program also emphasizes the integration of academic knowledge and industry experience, reflecting MCUT’s strong reputation for its industry-oriented learning approach and integrated internship programs.
Students showed high enthusiasm throughout the event, particularly because the program offers broader international exposure without requiring them to start their studies from scratch abroad. Moreover, the program is expected to enhance the global competitiveness of UM graduates, especially in fields such as technology, management, and design, which are among MCUT’s strengths.
Through this initiative, UM not only strengthens its institutional collaboration with international partners but also actively encourages students to seize global opportunities. In the future, the partnership between UM and MCUT is expected to expand further, encompassing not only academic programs but also joint research, student exchanges, and industry-based innovation development.
