Malang – The Office International Affairs, Universitas Negeri Malang, conducted “EduTalk: Mudah Studi ke Luar Negeri dengan Beasiswa” to give students a broader understanding of what it takes to study abroad on September 21, 2021. This event was made possible by a collaborative partnership with the Naresy International Education Consultant (NIEC).
To carry out Tuesday’s event, zoom meeting and YouTube were chosen as the main platforms. Around 60 people attended the event, consisting of both students and lecturers. The guest speaker, Javaz Afrizal Pratama, was a representative from NIEC Yogyakarta. To begin his presentation, he explained about the exclusive program offered by NIEC, which is a mentoring program for students who want to continue their studies abroad. In addition, he added that NIEC also covers other excellent programs, such as English and IELTS Preparation, Youth Development Program, and Visa Consultation.
Answering the main question of why we should study abroad, Javaz then explained that there are many benefits for those who go overseas. For instance, some countries have good quality education and learning systems. As a result, we can build a broader network to support our career in the future. Besides that, he said that studying abroad is not as tough as what many people imagine.
“In fact, some countries do not require IELTS and the living cost is quite affordable,” he said in the middle of his talk.
There are a number of destination countries offered by NIEC. That includes Australia, New Zealand, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, Canada, United States, and many more. Javaz also mentioned that scholarships are widely available for those who are interested in pursuing study abroad, including Chevening, AAS, DAAD, and LPDP scholarship. Therefore, don’t hesitate to take your chance!
