Introduction

UM iCamp is part of the continued efforts of Universitas Negeri Malang to enhance global education. The program was initiated to provide overseas college students with hands-on opportunities to learn Indonesian language and experience the cultural and academic life in Indonesia.

This intensive program consists of classroom sessions, socio-cultural sessions, and field trips to cultural and historical venues. Through the sessions, international students will have opportunities to better understand the dynamic aspects of Indonesian society in the past, present, and future.

Objectives

  1. To introduce Indonesian cultures, especially Malang culture, to international students.
  2. To give educational service that could inspire the international students.
  3. To expand the exposure of international event in Universitas Negeri Malang.
  4. To optimize the reciprocity of international partnership initiation.
  5. To endorse the potential tourism of Malang City
  6. To promote the education quality of Indonesia, especially Universitas Negeri Malang, to international students.

    How to Apply

    • Prepare the following essays:

      1. Short essay on your motivation in applying for UM iCamp 2024, what knowledge you seek to gain, and how this program will be beneficial for you. (max. 500 words)
      2. Short essay on your favorite activities or interesting experiences that makes you a unique candidate.
    • Prepare the following files:

      1. A Formal Photo in Color (4 cm x 6 cm in *.JPG max. 1 MB)
      2. Scan of Passport. (*.jpg max. 1 MB)
      3. Medical certificate stating that you are in the physical and mental health capacity to join the program. (File *.PDF max. 1 MB)
      4. Latest academic transcript
      5. Declaration Letter. (File .PDF max 1 MB), format could be downloaded here.
      6. An authorized letter of recommendation written by:
        1. a professor / lecturer from your home university;
        2. a teacher at school you attended who knows you well; or
        3. a supervisor / employer at your work place.
    • Wait for a notification that you have successfully registered to UM iCamp 2024.

    • Result Announcement will be on 10 June 2024 through UM iCamp 2024 website.
