Application for the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD Program) is open now. The program is organized by AMINEF (American Indonesian Exchange Foundation) with funding from the US Department of State’s Department of Education and Culture. This D4 / S1 student exchange program is a full scholarship and held for one semester at designated US universities.

The UGRAD Global Program is routinely offered every year for all Indonesian undergraduate students, both from public and private universities. Participants being able to feel and undergo lectures as students at US universities, participants will also get a variety of experiences. Such as the opportunity to participate in community service activities, orientation of the arrival and workshop when the program ends. During the study period in America, participants will occupy campus housing facilities with other students. In addition, participants also had the opportunity to add international relations that would be useful later.

Participants are required to register in two fields of study from the same department at their home university and at least one field of study related to the United States (history / literature / art / or American government).

Requirements:

·         Is an Indonesian citizen.
·         Minimum age of 18 years.
·         Is a D4 / S1 student from a state or private university in Indonesia. Have completed at least the first semester. Preferably for those who are taking semester three or five.
·         Demonstrate leadership potential through academic achievement, involvement in the community / community, and extracurricular activities.
·         Demonstrate good English skills (oral and written), evidenced by a minimum ITP TOEFL score or TOEFL Prediction Test (obtained within the last two years).
·         Commit to returning to Indonesia immediately after completing the Global UGRAD Program exchange program.
·         Not a citizen or domiciled in the United States.
·         Currently not studying, living or working outside Indonesia.
·         Not a family member of employees of the US State Department, USAID, AMINEF, and World Learning.

 Registration Files Required:

·         Two academic reference letters, one from the relevant department lecturer, and one from another lecturer, supervisor, trainer, or leader / supervisor of activities in the community.
·         Photocopy of ID card.
·         The latest transcripts in Indonesian and English.

How to register:

  • To register for a student exchange program by Global UGRAD, participants can complete the online registration form at the following link: Online Application. Click on Sign Up.
  • Create an account first by filling in the Name and Email that will be used and click “Sign Up”. Fill in all available online registration forms.
  • Please inform the AMINEF staff via e-mail by attaching the results of the TOEFL ITP scan / TOEFL Prediction Test to: info.scholarship@aminef.or.id, with email subject: “[Your Full Name] – Completed Global UGRAD Online Form”. The deadline for registration is 31 December 2019.
