INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION II

Malang – Yesterday, March 29, 2018, Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) held International Conference on Education (ICE) II in Graha Cakrawala, UM. The conference that has been held for the second time after last year is a bit special this year. It is because this year’s conference is a combined one with International Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience Conference (CHIuXiD) which started in Yogyakarta on March 23, 2018 to Jakarta on March 27, 2018 and ended in Malang yesterday.

The conference was opened with an outstanding performance of Tari Gambyong that symbolize the beauty of Javanese teenage girls’ everyday activities. After that, Prof. Siusana Kweldju as the chairman of the committee gave a brief speech on the ICE II. Following after that, Prof. I Nyoman Sudana Degeng, the Director of Postgraduate Program UM, beside opening the conference officially, he also pointed out in his speech that he hoped for further collaborations with the invited key note speakers.

With the theme “Education and Innovation on Science in the Digital Era”, ICE II in collaboration with CHIuXiD has successfully invited excellent key note speakers from the UK, Scotland, Austria, the US, Thailand, and Indonesia. The success on collaboration with those excellent speakers has made about 1000 graduate students attend this conference.

ICE II will continue today in the same place at 9 AM. We hope that UM will get more chance to experience a great conference collaboration in the future that will benefit the universities and students.
