A welcome speech was delivered by the Office of International Affairs of Universitas Negeri Malang to new international students enrolled in the academic year 2023/2024. This event was attended by 84 international students from various programs on September 4, 2023, which took place in the rectorate building of Universitas Negeri Malang.

As part of the event, two sessions were held. The first session was opened by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Haryono, Ph.D., the Vice Rector for Information, Prof. Arif Nur Afandi, Ph.D., and the Director of the Office of International Affairs, Dr. Evi Eliyanah. In order to improve their experience and success while studying at UM, international students should always contact the Office of International Affairs for assistance and support.

During the first session, international students of the KNB, UM ISS, Darmasiswa, and BIPA programs shared their impressions and hopes about Universitas Negeri Malang. Besides, other exchange programs, including IFLI, Wenzao, and GXNU participated in this event.

Furthermore, in the last session, international students received important information and guidance regarding academic and cultural regulations. Among the topics covered were immigration services, UM learning platforms like SIAKAD and SIPEJAR, cross-cultural understanding, health insurance, bank accounts, and ice-breaker activities. The event concluded with a photo session with all participants and those involved in the event.
