[OPEN APPLICATION] UM iCamp 2024

On Thursday, September 26th, 2019, Universitas Negeri Malang held Welcoming Session of international students at Graha Rektorat UM, 9th floor. The event was attended by international students and UM’s officials. In this great occasion, the Rector of UM, Prof. Dr. H. Ah. Rofiuddin, M.Pd also came to the event and welcomed the international students warmly. Right at 9.00 AM, the event was opened by the Master of Ceremony – Tia Farahdiba. In the first agenda, all of invited guests and international students sang The National Anthem of Indonesia, Indonesia Raya. The next agenda, Director of the Office of International Affairs, Mrs. Evi Eliyanah, S.S., M.A., reported the ampunt of International Students from each program who were studying in Universitas Negeri Malang. Those programs were Erasmus++ 2019, UM International Students Scholarship 2019, Indonesian Flagship Language Initiative (IFLI) from AMINEF USA that managed by BIPA Faculty of Letter UM, Transfer Credit Yala Rajabhat University 2019, Panda Practical Training GXNU 2019, 3+1 GXNU 2019, Darmasiswa 2019/2020, Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) 2019, and also non-degree programs.

The agenda was continued by welcoming speech from The Rector of Universitas Negeri Malang, Prof. Dr. H. Ah. Rofiuddin, M.Pd, and he also opened the event officially. Two of international students were also given opportunity to say hello and deliver their impression coming to Indonesia, especially Malang, they were Farukh from Tajikistan (KNB 2019 Program) and Tarikh from Tajikistan (UM-ISS 2019 Program). The next testimony was delivered by one of International Students from KNB 2018 Program who had been studying in UM for more than a year – Mamurdzon from Tajikistan. He was excited to tell about his amazing experiences during his study in UM, started from the beauty of Malang, the food, and also recommended places that they (international students) must visit.

The following session was dance performance from the students of 3+1 Program. They performed “Molihua” Dance, a Chinese traditional dance. Then continued by dance performance of Thailand Students named “Tom Yum Goong”. Both dance were showed very well and made audiences amazed.

This session finally was closed with photo session. One by one of the International Students was called to come to the stage to take photos together with their friends from each of their program, continued with took photo together with all of staffs, officials, and also the international students.
